Sunday 11th February - walk *** – Around Felixstowe – sunny
periods with light winds:).
Saturday 10th Feb – short prom.
Miserable day so didn’t do much, exercises in the morning followed by a
short walk along the prom which was very busy despite the gloomy weather
via Lidl to pick up some free cake, spotted a few birds including a couple
of friendly robins, then home to watch England scrape a win against Wales
in the rugby.
Sunday 11th Feb.
We were having Maeva for the day to help out, she arrived too early for me
to do my exercises and as she really needed a slepp but would not settle we
decided to head out for a walk to make the most of the stunning Sunday
weather, sunny with light airs making it perfect for the crowds to flock to
Felixstowe to make the most of it! Maeva enjoyed her trip down to the
seadfront taking everything in, the workers were shutting the flood gates
due to a high tide but with the sea so calm there was no danger of any
flooding today! We did our usual trip around the pier seeing just how busy
it was, not our favourite really but we did enjoyed our amble along the
prom. There was quite a crowd gathered at The Fludyers watching a young
seal who was looking for a spot to rest but didn’t choose a great place
really with high water, very little beach and loads of people watching. The
youngster seemed unfazed by all the attention it was drawing to itself. It
did come right up on the beach but soon headed back into the sea and we
followed it as it made its way towards The Dip with Maeva now fast asleep
so she missed all the action! We made it as far as Jacobs Ladder before
returning, with the prom so busy we headed inland to Allenby Park but with
Maeva asleep she did not get a go on the swings today. Then home for lunch
and half watch a one sided game of rugby between Ireland and Italy.
